Our Story
High Country Senior Advisors was founded by Kari Baker, CDP, a longtime Flagstaff resident who knows firsthand what it means to walk alongside a loved one through Alzheimer's disease. Kari's grandmother, Verlon, lived with Alzheimer's for several years before her passing. Those years at her side taught Kari something that no textbook could: people living with dementia are still fully themselves — funny, wise, surprising, and worthy of deep dignity and care.
That belief is the foundation of everything we do.
Kari has a special passion for dementia and memory care, but she serves families across every care need — from Assisted Living to residential care homes. Whatever the diagnosis, every family receives the same thoughtful, personalized guidance.
Kari founded this practice to be the guide she wished her own family had — someone who understands not just the logistics of finding the right community, but the grief, the guilt, the love, and the hope that come with it.
